At Davida Hand Craft Soap each batch is made completely from scratch. We use the cold process method and combine natural ingredients and unique blends to create our own original recipes, then cure every bar for 4 to 6 weeks.
While commercial soaps contain harsh chemicals and detergents, we carefully choose each ingredient: olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, castor oil, clays, activated charcoal and essential oils. Treat your skin with natural ingredients and it will naturally love you back!

Handmade Soap FAQ
What makes Davida soap natural?
Every bar is made from scratch with the cold process method, using plant oils and butters such as olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter and castor oil. Bars get their scent from essential oils or fragrance oils, and their color from clays, activated charcoal or cosmetic-grade mica. We list every ingredient on every product, so you can see exactly what is in your soap.
What is cold process soap?
It is the traditional way to make soap: oils and butters are mixed with lye (sodium hydroxide), poured into molds, cut into bars and left to cure. Our bars cure for 4 to 6 weeks. During that time the lye reacts completely with the oils, so none is left in the finished bar.
Which bar is best for sensitive skin or for my face?
Honey Oat is our mild, gentle bar, great for sensitive skin. For the face, Pure Detoxifier is an activated charcoal bar with tea tree, lemongrass and peppermint essential oils. Our guide on how to choose a natural face soap walks through the options.
Do you make goat milk soap?
Yes. Lavender Cloud is made with goat milk and lavender essential oil, and The Shampoo Bar also contains goat milk.
How big are the bars, and how do I make one last?
Most bars weigh about 5.3 to 6 ounces; the Pure Detoxifier face bar is about 4.4 to 4.6 ounces. Between uses, keep your soap on a dish that drains so it can dry completely, like our wooden soap dish. Store spare bars out of direct sunlight in a cool, well-ventilated place.
